Seattle

On Friday we managed to get the gang on the road to Seattle.  My cousin, Jackee, very generously offered to feed us dinner and host us overnight at her home right in the city.  Thank you Jackee and Andy!  That was ten extra people to feed and find beds for!  But first we hit the famous Pike Place Market....

And this is the famous place where they throw the fish!

That's actually a fish smack dab in the middle of the picture...belly out.

Super fun, we took the Monorail to the Space Needle and came across Darth and a Storm Trooper!
We had plans to go up in it but it costs $20 per person these days (Karen's dad can remember it costing 57 cents!) and there was a three hour wait so we said forget that.

Instead, we found this super fun park for the kids to play at, it was right there by the Space Needle.

Most of the kids did this...

                                                                     Calla did this!

And afterward we finally made it to Jackee and Andy's house!  What outstanding hosts!  She had water balloons ready for the kids to fire at each other and they got a slip and slide going.  The kids could not have been happier!

And she filled this little pool for her boys but others seemed to enjoy it as well!

 Adorable little Charlie!

And Cam, the happiest baby, lovin' his mama!

The girls got to have a big camp out....so much fun!

The next morning we went to Green Lake...a perfect decision because at the end of the day, we've discovered that all kids really want to do is swim...

While Karen and I supervised the swimming, Jackee, Eric and JR did the 3 mile trail around the lake!

And then we rented some paddle boats!

We couldn't have asked for better weather or better company!

Lunch was here and so great!...I believe Andy said it was featured on Man vs. Food!

Gotta throw in some pictures of this beautiful hunk of love!  I think more than one future mother was completely smitten and saying good bye was difficult!

                                            So incredibly adorable...beyond words!

                                               Mount Rainier bidding us farewell!
