After leaving Vancouver, we made our way through the surprisingly desolate eastern Washington and on to Missoula, Montana where we got a great rate on a fantastic hotel room (thanks to JR!) with a beautiful indoor pool literally steps away from our room. The kids were in heaven. One thing about this trip for sure is that nearly everywhere we've been has surprised me. I just had no idea that western Wyoming and eastern Washington has so much nothingness but then I also had no idea the incredible expanse of valleys and mountains that go on and on and on forever it seems! On our way from Missoula to Yellowstone we came across the incredibly adorable town of Ennis, MT. Eric's aunt had spent a summer working here at a resort so she has some great recommendations for us and again, who knew!?

They have a beautiful little downtown (or as we're slowing figuring out, every where out here calls it City Center). This little town was too little to be called city anything but has so much to offer. We had lunch here at Yesterday's, a very authentic old time soda fountain!
There must be some tour groups that go fly fishing from here because not far from here there was a whole group of people practicing their fly fishing casts.
Loved this beautiful statue in the middle of town.
