Our Visit to Franz and Mary's Beautiful Farm

It's been 15 years since we've been here but Franz said their last trip to Muskie Bay was in 2002 so if that's the case it's been just 13 years since we've seen these two...and they haven't changed a bit! Franz will be celebrating his 90th birthday in November, wow they look great! Their dog, Skippy, loves Franz VERY much!

The kids were great and enjoyed an up close and personal visit with the cattle! Mary's son Winston (who was up to Canada just once in 1979...I think I remember him being there too!) drove them around on the gator and introduced them to the mamas and their babies

 

And one of two...um...HUGE bulls

This little beauty was found by a creek along the farm property.  After searching for her rightful owners without success, she has a new home and is doing great!  Her name is Booty :o)

 They can see three miles out the windows of their house which was damaged pretty badly by a tornado last year.  Repairs are still underway on several of the farm buildings.

 

What a beautiful place and what a lovely visit we had!  So lucky to have been able to add that stop to our trip.  Mom, let's road trip next year for real.  The drive is beautiful!  And Mary, if you see this, it was so so wonderful to see you and Franz and Winston, we'll be back!  And thank you for the gift package! The brownies are getting gobbled up and I will treasure the gifts you gave me!
