Cape Kiwanda - One of my most favorite places on Earth

I don't think I've mentioned and likely some of you reading this don't know; our ultimate destination on our trip is Vancouver, WA where my dear friend Karen lives with her family.  She was my next door neighbor growing up and they moved to Oregon the summer before my junior year of high school.  The very first time I came to see them, they took me to Cape Kiwanda.  I'm pretty sure they wanted to show me what a beautiful place the state of Oregon is and convinced I was.  There's just something about it.  I brought Eric here when we came out for Karen's wedding in 1998 and I had to bring the kids.  Though this day was too packed to have hours on end to just hang, we were there for about an hour and a half and the kids enjoyed every second.  They ran and ran and climbed off some pent up energy!  And one of them got soaking wet.  Any guesses?

Not only is she soaking wet, she has sand all over her face!  And she's lovin every second of it!

These are surfers, not my kiddos!

What a spectacular place.
