Elowah Falls

I think I may have said before that Cape Kiwanda is one of my most favorite places on earth...well so is the Columbia River Gorge, probably even more so.  I love the green, the waterfalls, the trails.  I found Elowah Falls searching for family friendly trails and I'm so glad I did.  It wasn't super easy though, it was rocky and the trail descended quickly and for quite a distance but was beyond worth it!  Okay, I'll just admit it, it brought tears to my eyes the place is so beautiful.  Of course again, pictures cannot adequately capture the magnificence so you'll just have to come yourself.  We all felt like it seemed more like a movie set than a real place.

I love my camera, I don't think I've mentioned that before.  Eric gave it to me for my birthday last year and the zoom is nearly unbelievable.

The amount of water of the falls wasn't a ton but that didn't matter.  The gorge was huge, the kids felt like we were in Jurassic World!
